The ARC Agency has been shortlisted for Communications Agency of the Year in the Third Sector Awards.

The Third Sector Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding efforts within the voluntary sector and celebrate work that makes a difference to society.

Agencies are judged on their work for one charity campaign within the last 12 months.

The ARC Agency has been shortlisted for its work with The Careers and Enterprise Company on Give an hour, a campaign to encourage SMEs to volunteer their time to inspire young people in schools and make a difference to the future career choices that a young person makes.

Alex Ritchie, Founder and Director of The ARC Agency, said:

We are delighted to have been shortlisted by the judges for our creative and impactful approach to inspiring young people with their career choices.

The Give an Hour Campaign is about engaging SMEs. Corporate employees have been volunteering time and support to schools for any years. However, with total employment in SMEs at 16.3 million; 60% of all private sector employment in the UK[1], it is vital that we tap into the career opportunities, as well as the skills and knowledge of those employed in the sector.

We used our significant knowledge of SMEs to grow a campaign that could be rolled out through Local Enterprise Partnerships and business support and membership partners.

To date the campaign has seen over 1,100 registrations from SME’s and this number is growing by the day. This is a tremendous achievement and will have a huge impact on the young people receiving support.

The winners of the Third Sector Awards Ceremony will be announced on 19 September 2019.
